This automation helps to sync newsletter signups from Squarespace to Mailchimp, ensuring that your Mailchimp audience stays up-to-date with new contacts from your Squarespace newsletter submissions. Here’s how it works:

1. When clicking ‘Test workflow’ 🖱️:
   • This manual trigger lets you run the workflow on demand, helping you test the sync process as needed.
2. Schedule Trigger ⏰:
   • Set up a schedule to automatically run the workflow at a specified time. The current setup ensures that the workflow runs regularly to keep your contact list updated.
3. Sticky Note1 📝:
   • Overview: This workflow fetches Squarespace newsletter signups and creates new Mailchimp contacts in a selected Mailchimp Audience.
   • It bypasses the limitation of using only new, empty Mailchimp audiences with Squarespace forms.
   • Spreadsheet Template: Columns are designed based on Squarespace’s newsletter block, but can be customized. A sample sheet is available for reference.
4. Squarespace Newsletter Submissions 📄:
   • Fetches data from a Google Sheet containing Squarespace newsletter signups, such as Email Address, Name, and Submitted On.
5. Loop Over Each Item 🔁:
   • Loops through each entry (new subscriber) fetched from Squarespace to process and add them to Mailchimp.
6. Add New Member to Mailchimp 🐵:
   • Adds each Squarespace newsletter signup as a new contact in Mailchimp with the following data:
     • Email: The email address from the submission.
     • Status: Set as "subscribed".
     • Merge Fields: Adds the Name field as a custom field in Mailchimp.
